amiina selling electronics i was cool with. but this...

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=tfJ-zgUAqss

for some reason i found annoying. it's feel it all by feist. selling masterfoods herbs and sauces.

maybe because it seems like a butchered rerecording by session musos? not sure.

i realise this blog is becoming the weather channel

at least i'm not giving you daily rain gauge measurements...
i didn't make these vids but i did slurp them with my bluetooth. they are from the big storms last year in brisbane with the trees and the roofs and the watermelon hail.

side note: this came from a low end nokia, about $150. it can record video and transfer it via bluetooth. it can also send and receive MMS. stevesie, come on, cut us a break here!

mad cat lady

http://ishouldnothavesaidthat.blogspot.com/2009/01/saturday-breakfast_17.html

what i know about mad cat lady: she has too many cats, likes to spend time on the augie march forum, will spend her money to see augie march as many times as possible, rides a scooter which she crashed recently, has nice sisters, needs a new job (a bit of that going around at the moment), needs a new place to live, draws weird stuff, likes to blog, and (i hope i'm not being rude or presumptuous here) has a tendency to get drunk and into trouble.

The Middle East updates including tour dates

The band I became obsessed with late last year is called The Middle East. Yes, I am still obsessed with them. Some good news, they are back together, they've been featured on Triple J (as an Unearthed Feature Artist) on 8th of January and are touring most capital cities in February and their amazing song Blood has been released on a compilation album of unsigned bands. See here.
"...if the Arcade Fire released this song, it would’ve got a whole lot more attention than it has so far, because it’s really fucking amazing."

I've put some videos on YouTube. These are from the cd launch dvd recorded in april last year I have mentioned previously. I upload them as a fan and because I want you guys to become huge. I hope it's okay. (Rohin, let me know if you want me to take these down).

These songs are amazing. Have a listen.

Here we go:

dreamhost newsletter excerpt...

Yesterday when I was at home sick with my crazy pooping virus, I let my
dog Salt out onto our balcony where he apparently likes to take in the
cool Santa Monica breezes and smell the cars go by. Sometimes he likes
it so much, he can't be bothered to come inside and ask to go out, so he
just poops right out there.

Well, after a few minutes, he let out a couple of barks. That was sort
of weird.. he sometimes barks at cars when we're on a walk, but never
from the balcony. After another minute he barked a few more times.
Weird. Finally, when he barked again, I went out to see what this fool
dog was up about!

When I got out there, I saw, surprise, surprise, that Salt had already
done his "business" and was standing on the far side of the balcony,
facing the doorway. Well, fine. I got a paper towel and cleaned up his
mess. After I was done, Salt went back inside and promptly fell sleep.
That's when it hit me.. he had been calling for help after being TRAPPED
ON THE BALCONY BY HIS OWN POOP!

In related news, we are now using Fast CGI to process PHP everywhere,
which pretty much is just a win win win thing. There's nothing you need
to do, and whether you notice it or not, I cannot say. In fact, we'd
been doing this already as sort of a test for anybody who signed up in
the last eight months or so, but now it's UNIVERSAL!
